For its fixed income portion, it primarily invests in short-term treasury securities or other high credit quality fixed-income securities. For its commodity portion, it invests through derivatives in Chinese commodities such as energy, grains, industrial inputs and metals. The fund uses derivatives such as futures and swaps to create its portfolio. The fund seeks to invest in Chinese commodity futures contracts through its wholly owned Cayman Islands subsidiary.
