This ETF is designed to track the performance of the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) over a defined investment period. It aims to replicate SPY's returns up to a specific maximum gain, known as the upside cap. Simultaneously, it provides a protective cushion, shielding investors from the initial 10% of any losses incurred by the SPY. Crucially, both the potential maximum gain and the downside protection level will be reduced once the fund's management fees and other operating expenses are factored in.
