Description

The Nuveen Real Estate Securities Fund Class I aims to achieve both substantial current income and long-term capital appreciation. Its primary investment approach involves committing at least 80% of its combined net assets and any borrowed capital for investment purposes to dividend-paying common stocks of publicly listed companies operating in the real estate industry. While the fund's management anticipates a predominant focus on equity Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), it retains the flexibility to allocate capital across all three types of REITs. Up to 15% of the fund's entire portfolio may be invested in equity securities issued by non-U.S. companies and denominated in currencies other than the U.S. dollar. Furthermore, a similar allocation of up to 15% is permitted for equity investments in issuers from emerging market economies.
