This investment vehicle aims for significant capital appreciation over an extended period. It commits at least 80% of its total holdings to shares of smaller enterprises. Functioning as a feeder fund, it channels almost all of its assets into the Small Company Growth Portfolio, which is a master portfolio sharing virtually the same investment purpose and closely related strategies. Management considers small-capitalization companies to be those whose market value, at the time of acquisition, falls within the scope of the Russell 2000® Index.
