The Allstate Corporation, operating through its various subsidiaries, delivers a broad spectrum of property, casualty, and other insurance solutions throughout the United States and Canada. The company structures its operations across four primary segments: Allstate Protection, Protection Services, Allstate Health and Benefits, and Run-off Property-Liability. The Allstate Protection division specializes in personal and commercial lines coverage. This encompasses standard private passenger auto and homeowners policies, a variety of specialty auto options such as motorcycle, trailer, motor home, and off-road vehicle insurance, as well as other personal coverages including renter's, condominium, landlord, boat, umbrella, manufactured home, and stand-alone scheduled personal property insurance. Commercial lines products are also offered, primarily under the Allstate and Encompass brand names. Protection Services extends beyond traditional insurance, offering consumer product protection plans and related technical support for items like mobile phones, electronics, furniture, and appliances. It also provides a suite of finance and insurance products, encompassing vehicle service contracts, guaranteed asset protection (GAP) waivers, road hazard tire and wheel coverage, and paint and fabric protection. Additional services include roadside assistance, device and mobile data collection, analytical solutions derived from automotive telematics information, and identity protection. Key brands in this segment include Allstate Protection Plans, Allstate Dealer Services, Allstate Roadside Services, Arity, and Allstate Identity Protection. Allstate Health and Benefits focuses on health-related insurance, providing life, accident, critical illness, short-term disability, and other health coverage options. The Run-off Property-Liability segment manages a portfolio of existing property and casualty insurance liabilities. Allstate's extensive distribution network includes company call centers, captive agencies, financial specialists, independent agents, brokers, wholesale partners, and affinity groups, supplemented by convenient online platforms and mobile applications. Established in 1931, The Allstate Corporation maintains its headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois.
